In Crimea, the activities of an 18-year-old resident of Simferopol, who was going to set fire to a building in the city, were stopped. This was announced on April 7 by the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The investigation revealed that the man was a member of an international neo-Nazi cell, whose activities are recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia.
"In order to destabilize the activities of the authorities, he planned the arson of a building in Simferopol, for which he made a crime weapon and found accomplices to the terrorist act from among the youth," the Telegram channel says.
According to the agency, the young man could not bring the criminal plan to an end, his actions were stopped by employees of the republican departments of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Searches were conducted at his place of residence, and items of interest to the investigation were seized.
It is specified that the man gave exhaustive confessions. He is currently in custody.
On March 28, employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol detained an 18-year-old Crimean resident who was a supporter of a terrorist neo-Nazi organization. According to the agency, he is involved in the attack and infliction of bodily harm to citizens. It was clarified that he also received an assignment to set fire to a mosque for a reward of $ 1 thousand.
A criminal case has been opened against him under Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime"), Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
