Audi has suspended car shipments to the United States due to Trump's duties

German automaker Audi has suspended car shipments to the United States amid tariffs imposed by American leader Donald Trump. This was reported by the Handelsblatt newspaper on April 7.
It is reported that the company sent letters to its dealerships in the United States informing them of the suspension of further deliveries of cars, as well as the sale of those units that have already entered the country but have not reached the warehouses.
At the same time, the centers were instructed to continue selling cars that are in warehouses and are not affected by duties. Audi currently has over 37,000 vehicles stored in the United States.
Earlier, the Volkswagen carmaker also warned its dealerships about the need to sell existing cars in warehouses, as the supply of new ones has been stopped.
On March 26, Trump announced the introduction of 25 percent duties on all cars and trucks manufactured outside the country. According to the White House estimates, approximately $100 billion in annual duties will be collected in this way.
