Fraud in the amount of 14 million rubles in the extraction of soil was established in the Magadan region.

In the Magadan region, as a result of a prosecutor's check, a criminal case was opened into fraud in mining. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation announced this on April 7.

"In order to implement the activities of the state program "Natural Resources and Ecology of the Magadan Region", the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Territories and Hydraulic Structures and Commercial Transport LLC have signed a state contract for the supply of rock soil to the village of Tauisk," the agency said in a statement posted on its official website.

During the inspection, it was established that the supplied rock was extracted illegally from a nearby quarry. Accordingly, there were no expenses related to the purchase of materials and delivery. As a result, law enforcement agencies decided to institute a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").
