Over the past three days, residents of the Irkutsk region have lost more than 8 million rubles due to fraudsters. The police carry out a check on each fact.

In Nizhneudinsk, a 43-year-old man became a victim of scams. He trusted the "investment manager", who contacted him via messenger. The attacker offered to receive additional income through investments. The victim transferred 3.5 million rubles to an outside account. This is reported by IA IrkutskMedia.

In Irkutsk, a fraudster contacted a 22-year-old girl on behalf of a cellular communication company. He asked me to dictate the codes from the SMS messages. Then the second fraudster called the victim, he introduced himself as an employee of the Central Bank and said that the girl needed to transfer a large amount to a "secure" account. A local resident agreed to apply for a loan and transferred 2 million rubles to the specified banking details.

In Pushkino, near Moscow, telephone fraudsters convinced a 79-year-old man to transfer 1 million rubles to a "secure" account. Later, the scammers contacted the pensioner again, they offered to cash out 1.4 million rubles and transfer them to the courier. The man realized about the deception and contacted the police. The courier was detained.
