Peskov: Russia must ensure its interests in resolving the situation in Ukraine

Russia must ensure its interests in resolving the situation in Ukraine. This was announced on April 7 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Being in solidarity with the idea of the need for an early ceasefire, we must ensure our interests," he told reporters.
Peskov also added that there are a number of unresolved issues that are "hanging in the air." He pointed to the lack of control by the Kiev government and the inability of the Ukrainian authorities to deal with the actions of extremist and nationalist groups.
Russia considers it important to clarify these points, the presidential spokesman stressed.
On April 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed his readiness to conclude an unconditional ceasefire with Russia. The head of the Kiev regime also expressed hope for the help of the American leader Donald Trump in resolving disagreements with Moscow.
