The demand for travel packages to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the May holidays among Russians increased by 25% compared to last year's figures. This was announced by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) on Monday, April 7.

"Tourists are actively booking tours to the UAE for the May holidays — due to the strengthening of the ruble and long weekends, the demand for holidays in this country is growing: prices for tours are 10-15% lower than last year," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

ATOR clarified that the UAE ranks first in popularity for the May holidays in the Russian Express and Space Travel companies.

"Among other large multidisciplinary tour operators, the UAE is confidently among the TOP 5 outbound destinations for the May holidays, second only to Turkey and Egypt," the association added.
