Navigation of small vessels will be opened on April 12 in Kamchatka

The dates for the opening of navigation of small vessels were approved in the Kamchatka Territory. This is reported by the KamchatkaMedia news agency with reference to the decree of the regional government.

The ships will be able to set sail in the south of the peninsula before anyone else. From April 12, the season will begin in Yelizovsky district, Milkovsky and Vilyuchinsky districts, as well as Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. From April 20, vessel traffic will be allowed in the Ust-Kamchatsky district and the Sobolevsky district, from April 21 — in the Aleutian, Bystrinsky and Ust-Bolsheretsky districts.

Since May 5, the navination will start in the Tigil district, from May 7 — in the Olyutorsky district, from May 15 — in the Karaginsky district. In the Penzhinsky district, it is allowed to launch boats on June 1.

The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that it is forbidden to go out on the water before the opening of navigation. Shipowners face fines.

In Primorsky Krai, the navigation period started on April 1.
