Vilfand predicted the return of spring weather to Moscow next week


The warm weather will return to Moscow next week, and the air temperature will rise significantly on April 15 and 16. This was announced by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand on Monday, April 7.
"A gradual increase in temperature is predicted by the middle of next week. The air temperature will rise to +15 degrees on April 15 and 16," Vilfand told the Moscow City News agency.
He added that the snow will gradually begin to melt due to the above-zero temperature.
Earlier in the day, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said that the snow cover in some areas of Moscow had grown to 13 cm in some places, and up to 16 cm in the Moscow region. He specified that it is now 11 cm in Tushino, and 13 cm in the center of the capital, on Baltschuga.
The forecaster also reported that up to 38% of the monthly precipitation rate had fallen in the capital over the past day. Meteorologists recorded 10 mm of precipitation at the main weather station of VDNKh, reports 360.ru .
Earlier, on March 5, Wilfand reported that the air temperature in the spring of 2025 in the territory of the Russian Federation will be within or slightly below normal. He also added that last winter in the country was the second warmest in the history of observations.
