A resident of Bryansk was convicted of receiving payments for non-existent children


The Bezhitsky district court of Bryansk sentenced a resident of the city who fraudulently received payments for non-existent children. This was announced on April 7 by the joint press service of the courts of the Bryansk region.
"The defendant provided the authorities authorized to decide on the appointment and provision of benefits and other payments with false information about the fact of the birth of two children," the Telegram channel of the courts clarifies.
They reported that in total, the woman received more than 1.2 million rubles. She was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud in receiving large-scale payments").
The guilty party was sentenced to a fine of 250 thousand rubles. The woman reimbursed the damage caused to the state on a voluntary basis.
On January 24, a local resident was detained in Mytishchi, who is suspected of fraud in obtaining housing subsidies in the amount of more than 24 million rubles. A criminal case was opened against her.
