A resident of the Orel region was detained for calling for cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Law enforcement officers detained a supporter of a Ukrainian terrorist organization in the Orel region for calling for cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on April 7 by the press service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for Moscow and the Moscow region.

According to the investigation, a native of the Orel region, while in the Moscow region, acted as an accomplice of a terrorist organization. He called on the Russian military to side with the enemy and cooperate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine by providing information about the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces). In addition, the Russian posted several videos promoting terrorism on his Telegram channel.

In connection with these actions, criminal cases were initiated under articles relating to the justification and propaganda of terrorism, as well as public calls for actions directed against the security of the State.

"The person involved was detained at the place of registration in the Orel region and taken to Moscow. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention against him," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

On March 18, a resident of the Orel region, accused of high treason, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the FSB, the accused transferred money to support Ukrainian terrorist groups. These funds were used to purchase drones, weapons, ammunition, and tactical equipment.
