Kursk Mayor Igor Kutsak resigns his post at his own request

Igor Kutsak leaves the post of mayor of Kursk at his own request. He announced this on April 7 at a meeting of the government of the Kursk region.

"I made a rather difficult decision for myself to resign as head of the city at my own request," he said.

Kutsak explained the decision due to family circumstances. According to him, there are many family issues that require his active and active participation.

He thanked Alexander Khinshtein, the acting governor of the Kursk region, for his understanding, and also expressed confidence that the deputies would support his decision at the meeting of the city assembly.

Kutsak was appointed mayor of Kursk on February 3, 2022. Prior to that, he served as the head of the regional Property Management committee.

Earlier, on April 2, Marina Degtyareva, the head of the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region, resigned at her own request. As a result, acting deputy head Vladimir Zhilinkov was appointed acting head of the district.
