Transnistria suspended gas supplies for technical reasons

Gas supplies to Transnistria have been suspended for several days due to technical reasons. This was announced on April 7 by the press service of the President of the unrecognized republic Vadim Krasnoselsky on the official website.
"Last Saturday, the supply of natural gas to Transnistria was suspended. The break, due to technical aspects, will last until April 8-9," the message says.
During the meeting, Sergey Obolonik, First Deputy chairman of the government of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), said that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, along with the gas supply, it would be possible to resume centralized heating. According to him, the heating season in the republic will be extended until April 13.
On March 5, deputies of the PMR parliament approved Krasnoselsky's decree extending the state of emergency until April 9 inclusive. According to the Supreme Council, the situation with gas supplies to the republic remains tense. Current volumes of natural gas supplies do not ensure the full operation of industrial enterprises.
Gas supplies from Russia to Moldova and Transnistria stopped on January 1 due to Ukraine's refusal to extend the transit agreement through its territory and the Moldovan side's debts to Gazprom. In mid-January, it became known that Russia was ready to provide assistance to the PMR and begin humanitarian gas supplies.
