The case of the terrorist attack was initiated upon the murder of a resident of the Kursk region by Polish mercenaries.

A criminal case has been opened in the Kursk region on a terrorist attack after the murder of a civilian resident of the village of Plekhovo by Polish mercenaries fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VFU). This was announced on April 7 by the press service of the Main Military Investigative Directorate (GVSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

While working with civilians in the liberated settlement, investigators learned from one of the women about the murder of her relative by mercenaries from Poland. According to her, they shelled the residential sector of the village, as a result of which her husband's brother was killed.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act")," the agency said in a statement.

Currently, actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances, and the necessary judicial examinations have also been appointed. During the preliminary investigation, the AFU militants involved in the crime will be identified and brought to justice.

On March 16, a criminal case was opened into a terrorist attack on the fact of looting and killing civilians in the Kursk region of the Ufa. It was clarified that the militants killed three residents of the village of Kazachya Loknya in the Sudzha district. The case was initiated under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act causing death to a person"), as well as under paragraphs "a", "c" of part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Looting committed by a group of persons by prior agreement with the use of violence dangerous to life or health").").
