The weather forecaster warned of cold weather in Moscow until April 11.

A cold cyclone will determine the weather in Moscow for almost the entire week. In addition, snow is expected on the night of April 8. However, next week the air temperature will start to rise to positive values. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on April 7.

"For the entire working week, our daily average air temperature will be slightly negative or near zero," the forecaster said.

According to her, there will be light snow in some places at night, and light precipitation in the daytime from the middle of the week: sleet and light rain.

She also explained that about 2-3 cm of snow is expected at times in Moscow this coming night. The minimum temperature in the capital will be -2...-4 degrees, in the region — up to -6 degrees.

The air temperature in the regions will vary greatly from day to day.

"Tomorrow afternoon there will be light snow in places, the maximum temperature is 0...+2 degrees, in the region — -2...+3 degrees, which means that tomorrow afternoon the unfavorable weather condition will be that there will be ice in places and, possibly, icicles on the roofs," Pozdnyakova said.

The coldest night, according to the expert, is expected on the night of April 9, because it will be about -3...-5 degrees in Moscow, and up to -8 degrees in the region. Daytime temperature: -4...+1.

In the future, the minimum temperature will be in the range of -1...-6 degrees. Daytime temperature on Friday, April 11: -1...+4. On Saturday, April 12: 0...+5 degrees.

"A gradual slow increase in temperature will begin, and after the 15th, the air temperature will begin to rise more actively and the daily average and night temperature will be positive," the forecaster added.

Earlier, on March 5, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that the air temperature in the spring of 2025 in the territory of the Russian Federation would be within or slightly below normal. He also added that last winter in the country was the second warmest in the history of observations.
