The administrations of four metropolitan districts were the first to publish plans for landscaping with funds received from the payment of city parking. This was stated by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

According to him, Levoberezhny and Danilovsky districts, Brateevo and Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhnoye were the first to share plans for spending money from parking this year. They are going to equip playgrounds and sports grounds in 39 house territories, install road signs, renovate sidewalks, pedestrian paths and stairs.

"On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, funds from the payment of street parking are distributed among the districts of the capital for the improvement of courtyards and streets. In 2024, about 1,000 house territories were renovated, and work will continue this year," Liksutov added.

Detailed information about the improvement plans is available on the websites of the departments in the section "Landscaping with funds from paid parking".

The funds received from the payment of city parking are transferred to the prefectures of Moscow — they are directed to measures to improve the urban environment. For example, for the construction of playgrounds and sports grounds, for the repair of pedestrian crossings and carriageways, for landscaping adjacent territories, as well as for the installation of road infrastructure, including traffic signs. Residents of the districts decide on their own what should be updated first. To do this, they need to make proposals to the municipal deputies.

This year, more than 10 billion rubles from the payment for street parking were allocated in advance for the improvement of courtyard areas.
