Ovechkin's first coach took part in the filming of a video in honor of the hockey player's record.

Alexander Filippov, the first coach of Alexander Ovechkin, the Russian striker and captain of the Washington Capitals hockey club, took part in the filming of a video dedicated to Ovechkin's world record for the number of goals in the regular championships of the National Hockey League (NHL). The short video was shot at the VTB Arena in Moscow.

The hockey player's congratulations were joined by the TV channels of the National Media Group (NMG) holding, the leader of the Hands Up! group, Sergey Zhukov, and the actors of the popular TV series Molodezhka.

"My good friend and buddy. I really want as many people as possible around the world to subscribe to this little musical anthem, because it's really an expression of our great pride in a man who did everything with his own hands," Zhukov said.

Actor Alexander Sokolovsky also shared his memories of his first meeting with Ovechkin on the set of Molodezhka. He admitted that he looked at the hockey player with admiration, like a real fan.

Zhukov's congratulations were accompanied by a video for the hockey player's favorite song from the repertoire of the musical group.

The musician said that he wrote the lyrics to Ovechkin's world record in just one day. He clarified that the song is an expression of great pride for a man who has achieved success with his own hands.

Alexander Ovechkin scored his 895th goal in the NHL regular season on April 6 against the New York Islanders, breaking the record of four-time Stanley Cup winner Wayne Gretzky, who scored 894 goals.
