Ukraine poses a threat to Africa's security and supports terrorism. This was announced on April 7 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mali Abdoulaye Diop.

"I must say that Mali, which has also severed relations with Ukraine, considers Ukraine a terrorist state to the extent that Ukraine has openly called for and declared its support for terrorist groups in the Sahel and, in particular, in Mali, which has led to the deaths of many of our soldiers and citizens of Mali," he said. RIA Novosti.

According to Diop, Ukraine must take responsibility and avoid its negative perception from the African peoples, who may consider Kiev a source of instability and an irresponsible player in the international arena.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 3 that Ukraine, with the full connivance of the West, supports terrorist groups in the Sahel region of Africa. He added that the formation of the Sahel States Alliance (AHS) is evidence of the "second awakening of Africa."

In August last year, Mali severed diplomatic relations with Ukraine, citing information about Kiev's support for the actions of armed terrorists in the African republic. Bamako also called for countering the subversive activities of the Ukrainian embassies in the Sahel.
