Ambassador Ganevich called the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus justified

The deployment of Russia's tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus is a justified decision against the background of the militarization of the European Union (EU). This was announced on Monday, April 7, by the Belarusian Ambassador to Switzerland Alexander Ganevich.
According to him, the EU member states are currently heading for further militarization.
"In such a situation, the Belarusian leadership made an absolutely justified decision to create additional deterrence elements in the form of deploying tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the republic," the diplomat said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
In addition, in order to contain the threat from the EU, Belarus has decided to deploy modern hypersonic ballistic missile systems of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, on March 24, it was reported that US allies in Europe and Asia were thinking about their own nuclear weapons. It is specified that Germany, South Korea and Japan are capable of developing nuclear weapons as soon as possible.
On March 13, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said, answering a question from Izvestia, that no one would allow the deployment of a "nuclear umbrella" in Europe (this proposal was made by French leader Emmanuel Macron), and the militarization of the EU as a whole is a "dubious enterprise." Therefore, it is best for the European union to "live together" and pursue a peaceful policy, as the conflict in Ukraine has already taught everyone.
