Priest Alexander Zinchenko, who visits churches and temples in the liberated areas of the Kursk region to assess their condition and preserve the remaining valuables, told Izvestia about his activities.

He said that he had recently visited Malaya Lokotnya, where he had built a church in the IK-11 women's colony ten years ago. After the start of the special military operation, the prisoners were taken to other institutions. Now the temple is almost completely destroyed. But Father Alexander managed to remove the surviving bells from there.

"Six units. There are no whole ones. They were split, pierced, and only the "shoulders" (the top) remained of one. And no wonder: as far as I know, the bell tower was hit by direct fire from a Bradley armored personnel carrier. We will probably send what remains to Ilya Drozdikhin's workshop in Moscow so that he can pour new ones out of them," he explained.

The priest has been making such trips to the liberated areas since mid-March. The last trip was to the Intercession Church in the center of Suja.
