A man was injured in a fire in St. Petersburg.


In the Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg, a balcony in a studio apartment caught fire, injuring one person. This was announced on Monday, April 7, by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"As a result of the fire, a man was injured, [he] was hospitalized in a medical facility," the press service of the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
The fire started on April 6 at 23:26 (local time, coincides with Moscow time) and was eliminated on April 7 at 00:33, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of St. Petersburg clarified.
They added that 15 specialists and three pieces of equipment from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were working to extinguish the fire.
Earlier, on April 6, it was reported that in the city of Shchuchye, Kurgan region, two men died as a result of a fire after inhaling carbon monoxide while returning to a burning house for valuables. According to preliminary data, the fire broke out as a result of a short circuit of the TV.
