RPL changed its logo on social media in honor of Ovechkin's record

On April 6, the Russian Premier Soccer League (RPL) changed its logo on social media in honor of the sniper record of the Russian striker and captain of the Washington Capitals, Alexander Ovechkin.
The logos now feature a teddy bear with a winning grin and a thumbs up. And on the clothes of the symbolic RPL animal, Ovechkin is written.
"Everyone is celebrating Alexander Ovechkin's great record, even our Teddy Bear," the league wrote on its Telegram channel.
On April 6, Ovechkin said that he considers it important for him to set a new National Hockey League (NHL) record for goals. According to him, he is optimistic about this moment, because "finally no one will ask" him when the previous record of Canadian Wayne Gretzky of 894 goals will be beaten.
The Russian striker scored his 895th goal in the NHL regular season on April 6 against the New York Islanders, breaking the record of the four-time Gretzky Cup winner.
