The Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival of Films and Programs about Space will host participants from 25 countries. — Igor Ugolnikov to Izvestia

If we talk about Russia's cultural ties with foreign countries, they are eager to attend our Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival of Films and Programs about Space," Igor Ugolnikov, president and initiator of the International Film Festival, People's Artist of Russia, told Izvestia.

The festival is held annually. From April 12 to April 16, the VI Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival will be held in Kaluga. According to tradition, the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky (GMIK named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky) will become its main venue. This year, 100 films have been selected for the program.

"There are applications for participation from cinematographers from various countries. This year's program includes Germany, France, Italy, not to mention India, Brazil, Iran... a total of 25 countries. Foreign cinematographers are interested in presenting their work to Russian viewers, and I am sure foreign viewers are interested in Russian films," Ugolnikov said.

The selection committee watched 2,200 films and submitted 100 works to participate in the competition programs in various categories.
