An official from Jordan staged a brawl on a flight from Malaysia to Australia

In Sydney, an official from Jordan, Shadi Taysir Ayed Al-Saaideh, was detained for assaulting a crew member of a flight from Malaysia to Australia. This was reported on April 6 by ABC TV channel with reference to a lawyer.
It is clarified that 46-year-old Al-Saaideh is accused of trying to open emergency exits from an AirAsia plane and assaulting a flight attendant. He was detained after the aircraft landed at Shinde Airport.
At the same time, as indicated in the publication, Al-Saaideh himself stated that he had taken medications and sleeping pills and did not remember anything about the incident. In addition, an official from Jordan had consumed alcohol before boarding the flight.
"The Jordanian citizen was refused bail," the publication says.
The TV channel noted that the accused of creating a security threat had no previous criminal record.
He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
Earlier, on April 1, it was reported that a Jetstar plane flying from Bali to Melbourne turned around in flight over the Indian Ocean after one of the passengers tried to open the door. Upon arrival at the airport, local authorities in Bali helped to disembark the air gunman from the plane.
