In the city of Shchuchye, Kurgan region, two men died as a result of a fire after inhaling carbon monoxide while returning to a burning house for valuables. This was announced on Saturday, April 6, by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region.

"A fire broke out in a private house in the Kurgan city of Shchuchye. The men took the hostess outside and returned to pick up documents and valuables," the agency said in a Telegram post.

Firefighters subsequently found the bodies of a 68-year-old father and 43-year-old son while extinguishing the fire. The woman was hospitalized.

It is specified that the fire occurred on an area of 7 sq. m. Eight specialists and two pieces of equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were eliminated.

According to preliminary data, the fire broke out as a result of a short circuit of the TV.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation recalled that five inhales of carbon monoxide in a fire can lead to death.

On the eve of April 6, it was reported that three private houses burned down in Murino, Leningrad region. Previously, the cause of the fire could be a short circuit in one of the buildings.
