- The Cabinet of Ministers will consider a bill on blocking counterfeiting at the cash registers

The government will consider a bill by Sergei Lisovsky, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Protection of Competition and a representative of the United Russia faction, on the automatic blocking of counterfeit goods at cash registers. This was reported to Izvestia by the press service of Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the government staff.
They added that the deputy's appeal had been received and would be considered in due course.
"Russia has created a global quality control system for goods, which, with the help of labeling, makes it possible to instantly block certain counterfeit products throughout the country. But so far, even if Rospotrebnadzor has identified products that are dangerous to health, it must first issue a warning to the manufacturer, give time for correction," Lisovsky explained.
According to him, during this time of decision-making, such low-quality goods may already be sold to the consumer.
On March 19, the Rosselkhoznadzor called Svetofor stores a platform for the sale of counterfeit goods. Currently, employees of the territorial administration continue to monitor the sale of animal products in Svetofor supermarkets. According to the agency, all unsafe products were disposed of. In addition, administrative cases were initiated and warnings were issued about the inadmissibility of violations of established norms.
