Details of the murder of a two-year-old grandson by his grandfather in Moscow have become known

A man accused of murdering his grandson, born in 2023, struck him multiple times with his hands while intoxicated. The details of the incident on April 6 were reported by the press service of the Moscow City Prosecutor's Office in the Telegram channel.

"The accused, being intoxicated, <... He inflicted multiple blows to his young grandson's head, torso, and limbs, after which he repeatedly hit the child's head and torso against the wall and floor," the department said.

It is specified that the crime was committed in the apartment of a residential building on Tvardovsky Street.

On April 5, a source told Izvestia about a pensioner's attack on a grandmother with a one-year-old child in her arms. It was reported that ambulance crews were working at the scene.

On April 6, the prosecutor's office took control of the establishment of all the circumstances, as well as the course and results of the investigation of the criminal case initiated into the murder of a minor (paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code).
