SKA St. Petersburg lost to Dynamo Moscow and for the first time in 15 years left the Gagarin Cup in the first round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs. The match took place on Sunday, April 6, in St. Petersburg and ended with a score of 5:2.

Maxim Dzhioshvili scored for the winners in the 25th and 60th minutes of the match, Maxim Komtois (42), Kirill Adamchuk (43) and Nikita Gusev (46), Sport-Express clarifies.

Valentin Zykov scored two goals for SKA in the 27th and 29th minutes.

The day before, Dinamo Minsk beat CSKA Moscow in the playoff series with a score of 4:2 and reached the quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup for the first time in its history. The final match of the match was held in the Belarusian capital and ended with a score of 6:2 in favor of the hosts.
