Belarus prevented the import of the largest batch of explosives into the EAEU

The largest batch of explosives was seized at the Belarusian-Polish border by employees of the State Customs Committee of Belarus. This was announced on April 6 by the press service of the department.
"The Belarusian Customs Service has stopped the import of the largest batch of explosives in the history of Belarus into the territory of the EAEU," the agency's Telegram channel said.
According to the committee, the 41-year-old driver tried to import 580 kg of particularly powerful explosives of foreign manufacture, presumably from the United States. The cargo was planned to be delivered through the territory of Belarus to the Russian Federation.
The suspect has been detained, and an investigation is underway into the incident. The origin of the cargo, its final destination and possible persons involved are being established.
Earlier, on March 31, the customs authorities of Belarus caught a 27-year-old US citizen who arrived illegally from Lithuania in an empty carriage. For further proceedings, the American was handed over to the border service authorities.
