Democrats in the US Congress understand that their initiative to impeach American President Donald Trump is doomed to failure. This was stated on April 6 by Alexey Pushkov, head of the Federation Council Commission on information Policy, in the Telegram channel.

"Democrats in the US Congress have decided to impeach Trump. They know they won't get anywhere: they have a minority in both chambers. It's a doomed idea: Trump has nothing to show," Pushkov said.

According to the politician, members of the US Democratic Party "are trying to revive their lives through impeachment." At the same time, they are financing and organizing mass protests against Trump, "which have already spread across the country, raising their electorate."

Earlier, on April 5, a member of the American Congress from the Democratic Party, Al Green, said at a rally of demonstrators called "Hands off!" that he would initiate the impeachment process against Trump within 30 days.

On the same day, large demonstrations began in the United States against Trump's policies and the imposition of import duties. According to The Guardian newspaper, the outrage was caused, among other things, by the promotion of the entrepreneur and the head of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk's USA, reduction of spending on healthcare, reduction of measures to support the environment and national parks.
