A suspect in the murder of a schoolgirl in Ulyanovsk was placed under house arrest

A court in the Ulyanovsk region has placed under house arrest a teenager suspected of the brutal murder of a schoolgirl in the village of Tumkino. This was reported on April 6 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The meeting was held in the Sengileevsky district Court of the region.
"By a court decision, the minor suspect was placed under house arrest," the journalist said.
As a source told Izvestia on April 4, the girl's body was found in the basement of her own house with her throat slit. At the time of the incident, the schoolgirl was alone, her mother was spending the night with her boyfriend at that time. According to the Russian Interior Ministry, the victim was 14 years old.
On April 5, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported the arrest of two suspects, including a minor local resident, in the Terengulsky district. A criminal case has been opened into the crime under Part 3 of Article 162 ("Robbery with entry into a home or on a large scale"), as well as under paragraphs "b" and "h" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor for mercenary motives"). A local resident also told Izvestia that the mother of the murdered girl had been abusing alcohol.
