A man living in the village of Lipnaya Gorka, Leningrad region, while intoxicated, killed three people and injured another local resident. A criminal case has been opened into the incident, the regional prosecutor's office reported on April 6.

A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder, that is, intentionally causing the death of another person, two or more persons"), as well as under Part 3 of Article 30, part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder"). His defendant is a 57-year-old man. The incident occurred on the night of April 5-6, when a villager decided to use firearms against four people.

"At the moment, the suspect has been detained, the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved. The course of the investigation is under the personal control of the Tikhvin City Prosecutor," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to a source in Izvestia, a conflict in the house on Lipovaya Street occurred between a pensioner and his stepson. At some point, the man took a hunting rifle and shot the young man. He died on the spot. After that, he went outside, where he shot two more people and wounded a third. Eyewitnesses reported the incident to the police.

The pensioner was detained in his own house when he was asleep and very drunk. The source said that five hunting rifles were registered for the man.

On March 30, the Prosecutor's office of the Omsk region reported an averted murder in the region. According to the agency, a 30-year-old local resident planned to kill five former classmates because of bad relationships. The attacker intended to poison the company and then detonate an explosive he had made himself. FSB officers in the region managed to prevent the crime. A criminal case has been opened.
