The weather forecaster reported the formation of snow cover in Moscow up to 11 cm

Last night, a snow cover with a height of 5 to 11 cm formed in Moscow, up to 7 mm of precipitation fell in the metropolitan areas, which is up to 19% of the norm for April. This was announced on April 6 by Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.

"Last night, due to the efforts of cyclone Zion, 4 mm of precipitation fell in Moscow, according to the base weather station of the megacity, VDNKh. At other weather stations in the city, meteorologists' precipitation meters ranged from 3 mm in Tushino to 7 mm in Baltschug," the meteorologist wrote on his Telegram channel.

The highest figure — 11 mm of snow — was recorded in New Moscow. Due to adverse weather conditions, the Moscow Department of Transport announced the suspension of rental of electric scooters and bicycles until the situation improves.

"Snow is forecast for today and tomorrow. Maxim Liksutov reminded that trips in snow and ice can be dangerous," the department's Telegram channel says.
