- In Ukraine, it was reported about the seizure of a temple in the Chernivtsi region by OCU raiders

A group of raiders from the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) tore off the locks and broke into St. Demetrius Church of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the village of Panka in the Chernivtsi region. This was reported on April 5 by the Ukrainian Orthodox television channel First Cossack.
According to media reports, the raiders began preparing forged documents for the ownership of the temple back in February.
"Orthodox Christians then held a meeting of the parish, at which they unanimously decided to remain in the bosom of the UOC," the media's Telegram channel says.
At the moment, local OCU activists have acquired false documents for the church and have come to take the church away from Christians, the TV channel notes.
On April 1, in the village of Dubovtsy, Chernivtsi region, it was also reported about the raider seizure of the Assumption Church of the UOC by representatives of the schismatic OCU. It was noted that raiders from the OCU, accompanied by young militants from the Bandera Trident organization (recognized as extremist in the territory of the Russian Federation), broke into the territory of the shrine. The invaders surrounded and blocked the church.
Earlier, on March 6, it became known that supporters of the OCU seized the UOC temple in the village of Komarovtsy, Chernivtsi region. According to the Ukrainian media, the schismatics took advantage of the fact that the dean of Storozhynets district was hospitalized.
