Canadian hockey fans consider a Russian player of the National Hockey League (NHL) Alexander Ovechkin is an excellent athlete. This was announced on April 6 by Aaron Logan, founder of Logan Sports Group, in an interview.

"We are his big fans. First of all, he's a great hockey player. That's what we love about him. We like that he is pleasant, friendly and funny. And he's a great hockey player. This is the main thing for us," the businessman said.

Logan's company produces awards for outstanding NHL athletes. The products include, for example, silver and gold clubs, which are awarded to players after 500 and 1,000 league matches.

"And you know what, Wayne Gretzky, perhaps the greatest hockey player of all time, always told us in interviews that he always respected the Russian approach. He trained with Vladislav Tretyak when he was younger, and always believed that Russians train harder in hockey than North Americans. And that the Russians really taught us how to train," the entrepreneur said.

According to him, it would be an honor for Logan Sports Group to make an award-winning stick for Ovechkin as the NHL's all-time leading scorer.

Earlier that day, in a match against HC Chicago, Ovechkin scored his 894th goal in the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL) and repeated Gretzky's sniper record.

The Canadian hockey player personally congratulated the Russian player on repeating his record for NHL goals. The athletes also took a photo together in the locker room after the match.
