Singer Mara (real name is Mara Kana) performed for the soldiers of the 228th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces in the rear area of the special military operation zone. The event was timed to coincide with the liberation of the Sribnoye settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by fighters. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, April 6.

"They may have stone faces. And suddenly, in the midst of this stone face, changes begin to occur in the eyes. It's always a very touching and exciting moment for me when suddenly they start clapping themselves in the middle of a song, in an emotionally intense moment. <...> It's valuable to me," Mara shared her impressions after the concert.

The singer expressed gratitude to the servicemen for their courage, heroism and bravery in carrying out combat missions, wishing them success and a speedy return to their families.

After that, she gave a concert, performing her songs for the fighters, including compositions dedicated to her and the soldiers — liberators of Donbass, such as "Wounded Cities", "Russian Star", "He", "Rules of Battle" and others. At the end of the meeting, the artist talked with the military, signed autographs, took photos together and handed the unit commander a CD with her songs.

"The impressions, of course, are only positive. <...> Raising the patriotic spirit. All the guys, they're charging up, really charging up. And this is important in our business," said Lieutenant, Deputy company commander Roman Khalitov.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the personnel of the 90th Guards Tank Division have been carrying out combat missions as part of the Center group of forces since the very beginning of their military operations. The servicemen have repeatedly demonstrated devotion to the motherland, bravery and heroism, participating in the liberation of Avdiivka, Krasny Liman, Lisichansk and Selidovo. Currently, the unit is advancing towards Krasnoarmeysk, continuing to oust the Ukrainian Nazi formations from the territory of the DPR.
