- The Russian Ambassador in Buenos Aires announced control over the situation with the arrest of sectarians.

The Russian Embassy in Argentina is monitoring the situation with the detention of Russian members of the Ashram of Shambhala sect (banned in Russia) on suspicion of human trafficking. This was announced on Saturday, April 5, by Dmitry Feoktistov, the Russian Ambassador to Buenos Aires.
"We are closely monitoring the situation, keeping it under tight control, and we urge you not to escalate all these stories, but the criminals must answer according to the law," Feoktistov told reporters.
At the same time, the ambassador added that they have no reason to claim that this is a "new spiral of Russophobic accusations."
"We are concerned that people who have nothing to do with this do not get caught up in the hunt for sectarians," he added.
Earlier, on March 31, Argentina reported the detention of Konstantin Rudnev, the founder of the Ashram of Shambhala sect. It is noted that he was trying to fly from the Argentine city of Bariloche to Brazil, accompanied by five Russians and one Mexican woman. During the arrest, according to the portal, Rudnev attempted suicide.
