The court arrested 5.6 billion rubles of Chubais and seven other people on the claim of Rusnano

The Moscow Arbitration Court has seized the funds of the former CEO of Rusnano Corporation and seven other people in the amount of more than 5.6 billion rubles. The relevant decision is published in the file of arbitration cases.

"To seize the funds and other property of Anatoly Borisovich Chubais, Yuri Arkadyevich Udaltsov, Oleg Vladimirovich Kiselyov, Boris Gennadyevich Podolsky, German Rudolfovich Pikhoy, Dmitry Alexandrovich Pimkin, Vladimir Evgenyevich Avetisyan, Nikolai Nikolaevich Tychinin within the limits of the stated claims in the amount of 5,607,112,053 rubles," the court ruling says..

It is specified that the defendants are required to compensate for losses in the amount of 3.892 billion rubles and $ 20.4 million in rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the date of execution of the judicial act.

On January 30, four former top managers of Rusnano were detained in Moscow. It is noted that they are charged with misuse of funds in the amount of 45 billion rubles (art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). A criminal case has been opened under Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority").

On January 17, the head of the State Duma's defense committee, Andrei Kartapolov, and deputy Andrei Lugovoy appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, with a request to initiate a criminal investigation into Chubais' activities. This includes the period from September 22, 2008 to December 3, 2020, when Chubais was Chairman of the Board of Rusnano.
