Dubai announced an investigation into the incident with the Russian balloon crash

Dubai police are investigating an incident involving a hard landing of a balloon carrying tourists from Russia. Law enforcement officers reported this on March 5.

"Dubai police explain that as a result of the balloon incident that occurred in Dubai on March 23, 2025, no one was killed," the department said.

Law enforcement officers also called false and misleading rumors that had previously circulated in the media that two people had allegedly died during the incident.

"All injuries sustained as a result of the incident were classified as mild or moderate, and the victims received immediate medical attention," RIA Novosti quoted a fragment of the statement.

It is known that at the time of the fall, there were not only Russians in the balloon basket, but also other tourists from different countries.

On April 1, four Russian tourists were injured in Thailand due to a fire on a boat. It is noted that there were 33 tourists on board, of whom 26 were Russian citizens. At the moment, the Russian Consulate General is in contact with the victims and local authorities investigating the causes of the incident.
