Five nurses working on the same floor of Brigham Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Boston developed brain tumors at the same time. This was reported on April 5 by NBC News.

"Brigham Newton-Wellesley Hospital has reported that a total of 11 maternity ward staff on the fifth floor have identified health problems. Five had brain tumors, all benign," the article says.

Two of them were diagnosed with the most common type of benign tumors, meningioma, the medical institution said.

As a result of the investigation conducted together with government officials, no potential threats were identified that could lead to a deterioration in the health of health workers. X-ray machines located nearby, as well as chemotherapy procedures performed on the floor below, were considered as potential causes.

"During the investigation, no environmental risks were found that could be associated with the development of a brain tumor," the hospital's chief physician said in a statement.
