- Iranian President declares readiness for equal dialogue amid threats from the United States

Iran strives for an equal dialogue with other countries and does not accept threatening attempts at negotiations by the United States. This was announced on April 5 by the President of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Peseshkian, during a meeting with officials, parliamentarians and citizens of the country.
"If you want negotiations, what is the point of threats? The United States is not only undermining Iran, but also disrespecting the international community, and this behavior directly contradicts calls for dialogue," the press service quoted him as saying.
The President called on the Iranian people to unite in order to force Iran's opponents to think about the consequences of their attacks against the country. Iranians should give priority to serving their republic, Peseshkian stressed.
Earlier, on April 2, it was reported that US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with "disappearance by September" if the country does not agree to the nuclear deal and does not curtail its program. The American leader has already warned Tehran that failure to conclude an agreement would lead to bombing of the Islamic Republic.
On the same day, it became known that the United States and Israel could strike Iran in order to allegedly eliminate the threat posed by its nuclear program. It is specified that the countries are preparing for a military operation against Tehran.
Later, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that threats of attacks on Iran's nuclear energy infrastructure were unacceptable, as they could lead to irreversible radiological and humanitarian consequences.
