Emergency mode introduced in Khakassia due to fires

An emergency regime has been introduced in Khakassia due to wildfires from today. This was announced on April 5 by the governor of the region, Valentin Konovalov, in his Telegram channel.

According to Konovalov, due to strong gusts of wind, the fire situation has worsened in many municipalities of the region, "foci of about 43 fires have been registered."

It is specified that personnel of all departments of the fire service and voluntary fire protection are involved in extinguishing fires. 249 firefighters and 78 pieces of equipment are fighting the spread of the fire.

"The entire reserve and equipment have been put into combat," the head of the region wrote.

Konovalov also called for immediate notification by calling 101 or 112 if a fire is detected.

Earlier in the day, Konovalov reported that the wind damaged the roofs of houses and social facilities in Abakan, Chernogorsk and Ust-Abakan district. Fires have worsened in many municipalities, and power supply is disrupted in some places.
