Suspects in the murder of a young girl in the Ulyanovsk region have been detained.

Two suspects in the murder of a young girl in the Terengulsky district were detained in the Ulyanovsk region. This was announced on April 5 by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, the child's body was found a day earlier with signs of violent death. Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 162 ("Robbery with entry into a home or on a large scale"), as well as under paragraphs "b" and paragraph "h" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor for mercenary motives").

"An investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia has detained two local residents, including a minor, on suspicion of committing particularly serious crimes," the department's Telegram channel says.

The investigation is ongoing, and expert investigations have been ordered to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The suspect in the case is the babies' father.

A source told Izvestia that the girl's body was found in the basement of her own house with her throat slit. At the time of the incident, the schoolgirl was alone, her mother was spending the night with her boyfriend at that time. According to the Russian Interior Ministry, the victim was 14 years old.
