Rallies began in Seoul after the impeachment of the president of South Korea

Supporters of former South Korean President Yoon Seok-young rallied on Saturday, April 5, to express their disagreement with the Constitutional Court's decision on impeachment, calling for Yoon's immediate return to office, Yonhap news agency reported.
Thousands of representatives of conservative groups gathered at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul the day after the Constitutional Court's ruling.

The protesters chanted slogans: "Impeachment is a fraud" and "Dissolve the Constitutional Court."
They also called for "eradicating anti-state forces," meaning opposition figures.
One of the participants said that the public should "exercise the right to resist" and boycott the snap elections, which are scheduled to take place within 60 days.
The fact that the Constitutional Court of South Korea approved the impeachment of the country's president was reported on April 4. He was removed from office. The presidential elections are to be held within 60 days. They are expected to be held on June 3.
Later, Daria Kurginova, an expert at the Polylogue Group, told Izvestia that the unanimous decision of the Constitutional Court, which approved the impeachment of South Korean President Yun Seok-yeol, reflected the political consensus that had developed around assessing his actions as unacceptable. According to her, there will be a review of the strategies of the right-wing forces in the country.
