A high-alert mode has been introduced in Kuzbass due to hurricane winds.

A "High alert" regime has been introduced throughout Kuzbass to eliminate the effects of hurricane-force gusts, and emergency recovery teams are involved in the region. This was announced on Saturday, April 5, by Ilya Seredyuk, Governor of the Kemerovo Region.
The head of the region noted that dangerous weather conditions had developed in Kuzbass over the past day — the wind speed had increased up to hurricane force (33 m/s). 77 brigades, 85 pieces of equipment and 230 people are involved in eliminating emergency power outages.
"We have introduced the "High alert" mode throughout the region. Numerous gusts of electricity, roof damage, falling branches and trees, advertising structures, and bus stops were recorded," Seredyuk said on his Telegram channel.
The head of the region set the task to restore the power supply by the end of today's day. Bring out the repair services of management companies to restore roofs. The heads of municipalities should make detours of the territories, eliminate all the consequences of the hurricane (branches, trees, debris, etc.), and inform residents about the timing of the hurricane's aftermath.
Hurricane-force winds are raging in Siberia on Saturday. On the same day, it was reported that a resident of Krasnoyarsk was injured after a pavilion collapsed on him under the pressure of gusts of hurricane wind. The man was immediately taken to the hospital.
The head of Khakassia, Valentin Konovalov, said that warm weather with squally winds of up to 30 m/s had set in the republic, which complicated the fire situation and led to destruction in the region. In a number of settlements, the wind partially tore off the roofs of houses, and there were power outages due to overlapping and broken wires. A decision has been made to introduce a state of emergency in the Ust-Abakan region.
