The Bitsevsky maniac declared readiness to confess to commission of 11 more murders

The Bitsevsky maniac Alexander Pichushkin, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, declared his readiness to confess to 11 more murders. This was announced on April 5 by the press bureau of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) of Russia.

"Pichushkin A.Y. declared his readiness to confess to the commission of 11 murders of men and women in the Severnoye Butovo district of Moscow," the department said.

It is specified that information about the commission of particularly serious crimes by Pichushkin was received by employees of the Main Operational Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service and the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. It is noted that these crimes are currently unsolved.

The source of Izvestia reports that Pichushkin will soon be transferred to Moscow for investigative actions.

On April 17 last year, Natalia Guskova, the mother of the Bitsevsky maniac, reported on her son's poor condition in prison. She clarified that Pichushkin was on the verge of death due to a severe illness.

Alexander Pichushkin was born on April 9, 1974. He is known by the nicknames "Bitsevsky maniac", "killer with a chessboard". He claimed that he had sought to commit 64 murders.: one for each square of the chessboard. The investigation managed to prove 62 episodes.

The maniac's first victim was his classmate in 1992. He refused to kill with him. He committed the largest number of crimes from 2001 to 2006. In October 2007, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment. Pichushkin is serving a life sentence in the Polar Owl special-regime penal colony located in the village of Kharp in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
