The fact of the use of violence by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) against a civilian in the Kursk region due to ignorance of the Ukrainian language has been established. This was announced on April 5 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.
"The Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", "b", part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act")," she is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
It was established that in March of this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants threatened a resident of the village of Kazachya Loknya in the Sudzha district of the region with a weapon, and also severely beat him for not knowing the Ukrainian language.
Petrenko stressed that during the preliminary investigation, the Ukrainian military involved in this crime will be identified and brought to justice.
On April 2, a court sentenced two sergeants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VFU) to 14 years in prison for committing terrorist attacks in the Kursk region. The Telegram channel of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that convicts Roman Gonts and Pavel Cherny intimidated civilians, illegally occupied private households, and also prevented the evacuation of residents of the region, repeatedly opened fire on the Russian military and civilians.
