Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Special presidential Envoy for Investment and Economic Cooperation, announced that he was leaving the United States and thanked the host country for a constructive dialogue. He announced this on Saturday, April 5.

"As I am leaving the United States, I would like to thank everyone for a positive, honest and constructive visit," the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

In addition, he expressed gratitude to the social network for confirming his account.

"So now I am officially myself," the special representative of the Russian president added humorously.

On April 3, Dmitriev met with the special envoy of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, in Washington. He became the first representative of the Russian government to visit the United States on an official visit after the start of the special operation in 2022.

The next day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there was cautious optimism in the United States after Dmitriev's talks. According to him, work is currently underway in various areas within the framework of negotiations with the United States.
