- The Ministry of Defense talked about the use of ground-based drones in its combat zone.

On April 5, the Russian Ministry of Defense showed footage of the military personnel of the 1st Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Slavic Brigade of the Center group of forces using remotely controlled platforms in the Red Army area of the special military operation zone.
"The task of these platforms is to ensure the passage of assault groups, the delivery of supplies, and the evacuation of the wounded. It is possible to attach a trolley to these platforms, which performs its functions," said Nikolai Sobol, the squad commander.
Such a development can also be used to evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield. To do this, a trailer is attached to the platforms.
The equipment uses a 12.7 mm large-caliber machine gun "Utes", an RPG-7 with 10 shots, as well as a 14.5mm KPVT heavy machine gun.
"At the moment, the latest ground—based robotic complexes (NRTK) are being tested in real combat conditions and are proving themselves well among fighters performing combat missions on the front line," the Defense Ministry concluded.
On March 28, the crew of the UAV of the 1st Slavic Brigade of the Center group of forces told Izvestia about the use of the Supercam S350 drone for aerial photography and video monitoring of targets of Ukrainian militants in the area of a special military operation (SVO). Thanks to the reconnaissance drone, Russian fighters quickly identify the AFU equipment.
Tracked platforms in the 1st Slavic Brigade began to be introduced back in 2023 during the fighting in the Avdiivka industrial zone. Gradually, the range of action and the variety of tasks performed grew. In its current form, ground-based drones have managed to divide into many modifications: different weapons options and a transport platform can be installed on the same base. In addition, robots can pull a wheeled trailer of almost the same size.
