Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to visit the White House and meet with US President Donald Trump on Monday. This was announced on Saturday, April 5, by the Axios portal.
"If the visit takes place as planned, Netanyahu will become the first foreign leader to meet personally with Trump to try to negotiate a deal to eliminate tariffs," the portal said.
The leaders are also expected to discuss the Iranian nuclear crisis and the war in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, on April 4, Trump announced Netanyahu's visit to the United States next week. He said he would like to discuss Middle East settlement issues with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
