Measles outbreak in Texas reaches 481 confirmed cases

In the US state of Texas, the measles outbreak has reached 481 confirmed cases, including six children. This was reported on Saturday, April 5, by NBC News, citing the Department of Health.
"The number of confirmed cases has increased to 481, which is 14% more than last week. Fifty—six people have been hospitalized in the area since the disease began to spread in late January," the publication says.
According to the TV channel, six small children — aged from five months to three years — contracted measles at a kindergarten in Lubbock.
Earlier, on April 1, it was reported that the measles outbreak reached 422 cases in Texas. Over the past five days, 22 new cases have been confirmed. The majority of cases (169) are among children and adolescents aged five to 17 years.
